Meera Jasmine, the national award winner is teaming with a newcomer named Gajan for her upcoming film 'Adhinarayana'. The film is produced by S. Balaji on behalf of Box Office Pictures and is being directed by Vetrivendhan. The other heroine in the film will be Yogitha, a Bangalore-based model.

Vetrivendhan dismisses rumours that Meera was hesitant to act with a newcomer and says that Meera immediately agreed to be part of the film after he narrated the story to her. Despite being a 'senior' actress, Meera offered amazing cooperation and even encouraged the newcomer to be casual and contributed in no small measure in dispelling whatever apprehensions the newcomer might have had.

The shooting took place on the night of the new year eve, taking advantage of the huge crowd that had gathered at Anna Salai and Marina Beach . A song 'Happy New Year..' was picturised on Gajan and Yogitha on that day.
